2 - When you die in overworld by any source (such as skill issue) it makes sure your other squishy characters don't get killed by the auto swap to 1st slot after dying, so your healer/shielder can use their skills to heal/shield until you revive the DPS
3 - When I first started I used to put the "best" character I had on the 1st slot (which was Qiqi) then I used to put healer and shielders in that position
4 - I have more other rules for character placement in the team slots such as:

• Supports such as Nahida/Shenhe on 1st slot (it has exceptions)
• Raiden always on 2nd slot
• Bennett always on 4th slot
• When single hydro unit on party, it goes to 3rd slot (unless that hydro is Mualani, then she goes 2nd slot)
• Anemo supports like Kazuha, Sucrose, Venti Lanyan on 3rd slot (with the exception of hyperbloom team cuz hydro is already on that slot)
• DPS usually on 4th slot (with some exceptions such as Bennett being on 4th slot already, then the DPS goes to 2nd)
