Bro, they already have sooo many characters, if they don't do triple and quadruple banners, then chances are there are characters who don't run for literal years.

Think of it this way. If we only have double banners, the expected wait time (assuming all characters are rerun once before seeing their next rerun). There are currently 34 five star characters (according to Genshin Fandom), which means we can have 17 double banners before someone runs again. 17 * 3 = 51. So a character has to wait a literal year before rerunning again And when we get to the last continent, that is expected to double.
