Prickly Pear Cactus/Opuntia!

I LOVE Cacti, so when i saw that the desert revamp would be split into multiple parts, i knew now would be a good time to suggest...

THE PRICKLY PEAR CACTUS!

These guys would spawn in the desert, obviously, and would grow multiple limbs called "Pads". These would be a bit hard to tackle, as Opuntia in real life have round pads, however i feel it wouldn't be too bad considering the trees in game are very much cylindrical. These cacti would also grow fruit, simply titled "Prickly Pears", which would be able to turn into jam just like the rest of the fruits. Also, similar to the normal Cactus, it would have a purple variant, as seen in the picture above!

These could inhabit the same areas as their not-so-segmented cousins, or have unique spawns for wherever you may have planned. I feel like this could be a great way to introduce even more variety into the already expanding desert, while also making one of my dreams come true :)

I live in aribona (arizona) this would be good for the new fruit

I would make it like the normal cactus (How the flowers work but with fruits) That means we would have more use with and if they add cooking we could use the prickly with everything because native Americans use the pads for water and healing stuff don't quote me on that.
