Titanium doesn't have this color to it it's only made that color though Anodizing.
Heat Coloring Steel:
When steel is Heated the right way it can have this color but it's not natural either.
Now Stainless Steel Pots and Rainbow Stains.

When chromium combines with air and high heat, it forms a thin protective layer that changes color, resulting in those rainbow stains.
The only natural thing I can think of is bismuth and tourmaline. There may be other things but my bet is crystals. I believe there was talk on a live stream about crystals.

But that doesn't confirm this is what that is referring to. There was talk about a lot of new stuff with the river update. Hoofer also said something about crystals at one point I believe during a live stream. I personally think it would be stupid to be opal because opal isn't in a rainbow of color. The other items listed above are in that color scheme. Yes I know it's a game. But this kinda goes against how the devs have made things in the past so why would they change now.

No not really. I just stated a few things it could be. Someone else said it was fact of what they think it is. And yes there is something in the Discord that says opal but that doesn't mean that there isn't more then one new ore in game. None of the devs have confirmed what it is yet so at this time it's all speculation.
My issue is this post was to have people post what they think it could be.
Then we are all scolded and told we are all wrong and shouldn't say anything because it can only be opal. That's my only issue. Kinda made me feel like we are not allowed to speculate or play around.( It's been solved so now we all go home.)
