Elevators with an item on top, when elevators are toggled the item moves up therefore disabling the anti clog system on the planker.

Its not really needed anymore because I implemented a "lock" system for plankers but it is way too much work so I just kept it.

well it sands cuz the hitbox of the sander is like above the allignement conveyor and when its the conveyors hitbox it tps to the front then the plankers

One question this is collider or interactor cus it looks similar to interactor
its a collider. colliders are bronze and interactors are silver/gray
and having interactors on just glass wouldnt do anything lol

I keep having issues where really long logs keep getting grabbed by my output alignment conveyor before they’re planked

I have alignment conveyors going downwards inside the plankers to get them away from the output yet I’m still having issues, thoughts?

this is my build. the item lag is normally not there, theres just like 200+ trailers sitting around
its simple and since i always move whole trees and not bite sized pieces for my sanders a sanding pad is good for me

Yeah so you need your plankers to not be instant, for me I just stockpile wood, then go to make myself food and sell when it’s all back, idc if my plankers are instant ngl
Becuase to lock your wood you’re most likely just going to want to have a plank in there
i played around and it can be litteraly any item in the hitbox of the planker
still ended up using elevators
to get the items in and out

Also my planking system needs to be slower because of plank rotation messing with my car infinite stack

Tested this collider cage for planked items that Slappi showed me and I'm actually surprised it works this well, I would have expected them to glitch out through the glass but turns out no. I guess I classify this project as finished now as that was really the last problem I had to solve UNLESS I come across some other issue which I have yet to experience. I will test this out for a couple more runs and if no, I'll record and edit footage 🤑

is the wiring actually important? (i get that the collision blocks need wiring but the conveyors dont right?
the only wiring in the system is for interactors, colliders and elevators
there is no wiring for conveyors
interactors for vehicle spawn pads and colliders for platform

This whole system will basically stop working as dev(s) are going to fix "sander stacking" and rework aligners. I will hold off on making the tutorial as I don't want it to be obsolete after an unknown time of uploading the video as I really don't know how far away the update is. Sucks yeah, sorry for promising a tutorial and not delivering but didn't really expect this to happen.
Sander stacking being multiple sanders in one spot processing trees faster
Aligner rework will make the resize length of them shorter, add a buffer to items so you can't chain aligners and have them teleport instantly and also stop item stacking in vehicle/trailer to stop working as it wont output items if there already is an item at the end of the conveyor.

TLDR, lock some of the better conveyors/logic parts behind higher price levels / places that are locked behind goalposts so that the player isn’t
A. overwhelmed by all the options for farms
B. Stuck at a point where normal conveyors aren’t useful in practice over alignment conveyors (by making the latter MUCH more expensive is my fix)
C. The other extreme, underwhelmed by options (by making the game too linear, it gets boring) so keeping some options open while not having the entire logic store being able to be purchased with a measly ~15k. (INCREASE LOGIC STORE PRICES BY A LOT)

This one I don't get, combining sanders isn't even that overpowered of a thing, it just saves a couple seconds of time (well more since items have that floating thing issue and you have to manually interact with them so they fall down) which you pay 3x or 5x the normal price. If you are patching this I'm gonna throw out the idea of adding a better more expensive sander that sands the same amount of volume but instantly because why not 🤷 As like I stated previously It really isn't that OP considering you are paying 3x or 5x to scrape off 2 seconds of processing time.
I'm actually gonna do some math to show you how much extra I'm paying to scrape off 2 seconds of processing time:
My current system has 57 sanders
57 sanders / 3 (the amount I have in one spot) = 19 sanders
57-19 = 38 sanders
38 sanders x 14200 (sander price) = 539 600$
I'm paying half a million to scrape off 2 seconds of processing time, I know that it only takes about an hour to get that much with the current pricing but still, an hour of work to permanently scrape off 2 seconds isn't really that bad and you can nerf it further during progression/balancing update.

The way it is currently designed will not only make it slower but itll straight up break, I have to change most of the factory. The only thing I can reuse is the dropoff zone
I also have no idea how long till update, it could be a week or 2 months from now 🤷
If its a month or two from now go ahead if u can figure it out without tutorial but otherwise dont really recommend building a 5 trailer one, 3 trailers max.

how do you guys prevent items from freezing? everytime i get in my car to use the unloader it doesnt work because the items wont fall into the conveyors
its weird, i made a bug report on this, but if you respawn cars when there are resources on them they will fall down with no issue but if they are on a structure which you remove/have colliders on it wont.
i see is this why the sander trick is important? so unsanded wood cant get into the plankers?

I really have no idea how your factory is designed but try laying your resources on a flat structure then moving said structure or using colliders to toggle it and report back.

also made the truck and 3 trailer respawn, planker lock, player respawn, truck cage collision commands seprate so i can take my time and have the least chance of unanchoring the wood from my truck by accident
Looks good, fast processing time, fits your needs and simple from the looks of it though I personally dislike the way you have done the unloader part as that limits you to two trailers and you'd get faster processing time if you'd drive on to it from the side (see image).
BUT note that I am really picky on these sorts of stuff, I am the person who would pay 1 million or more just to cut off 2 seconds of processing time. Basically what I am saying is that it is good but it can be better

Idk if it was you or someone else that asked me this question a couple days ago but Im still gonna answer:
Its annoying its weird, I made a bug report on this, sometimes its based off of player range and sometimes you have to go there and interact with them, what I found to work is not letting resources stop on a solid structure so for example if you drive your car into the unloader, respawn them and toggle the collider layer if you have one at the same time.
If you want you can "bump"/comment that you have the same problem on github.

cause i didnt think elevators would work
ohh the elevators arent pushing anything into conveyors, thats the locking mechanism for the plankers, it takes advantage of the anti blockage feature

Update: I implemented a "lock" for the plankers (Huge thanks to @fading spear for the concept), now you can fill them up as much as you want without needing to immediately sell them which also means I can make the system SLIGHTLY more compact.
I do have this issue of it sometimes working and sometimes not which is really really annoying to figure out why, I don't know whether my factory is literally too fast so it moves 2 or more planks into the same spot which causes them to glitch out before they actually weld or its just aligner inconsistency. I'm having trouble getting past this step as no one wants an unreliable factory.
I did try to use colliders to keep the vehicle trapped (Thanks to @reef valve) it somehow helped but it is still an issue.
It also might be due to the fact that items retain velocity despite being teleported by aligner conveyors.
Video is sped up 2x in the loading part.

they dont actually block it by obstructing anything they just take advantage of the anti blockage feature
basically if a loose item is near the output of machinery it doesnt output
the elevators have an item on top of them which can be moved via the elevators

Yes, there is like a queue system for all machinery, you can check it with the stat tool.
Queue system can be toggled on/off by taking advantage of the anti clog system.

either the unloader alignment conveyors are too far into the planker or the loader alignment conveyors are too close to the output or placement issue

By taking advantage of the anti blockage system all machinery have, if there is a loose item near the output of machinery they wont output anything, I make this possible via elevators with items on top of them.

Collider thingy is not necessary, it essentially just acts as a fail safe. My first version didnt use them at all.
Ask me a question, the conveyor needs a specific energy to change its direction, I still haven't been able to test to find out which numbers turn off the conveyor and change the direction, but how do I get these values in the wire? using the calculator?

I have no idea what the values are for each rotation. You get these values in wires via number interface connected to an interactor.

u can choose specific numbers with a component called number interface
then you just hook that up to a relay or memory cell with a button/switch
