I have been playing refinery caves lately, and I think that if the new map were similar to that of the map of refinery caves, I think that visually it might be less pleasing, but it would definitely be more similar to lumber tycoon and refinery caves, both of which have had great success, and would also allow for progression blocks to reach certain areas
In my opinion, I prefer the new version, because it will be more compact, rather than the open plains that you have to drive through to get to ferwater island with little to no significance (yet)
Something to note though, that if the new map is to remain as it is, some kind of map plastered on every other wall would be necessary. In refinery caves I find it so easy to get lost and go in circles, so the maps help a lot
