Serious answers please as it's effecting gameplay, or maybe send a message to staff to be more careful with polls

consider not asking for "who", it gives the impression all you're after is pointing fingers and blame, instead of actually giving honest feedback.

It does not matter who added it, but why, what the objective behind it was, and if it's meeting the goal or not

The poll system was added with the intention of allowing the players online to voice their opinion when staff wanted to ask for input.

Examples could be setting a map, enabling a mutation, etc

before the polling system, mods would just add a tl or enable a mutation without being able to poll if players online wanted it or not

that's why the polling system was added

The problem i have with it is when its used in the wrong way, example: you are playing DTC and you would like your team to win, a few seconds later a poll pops up saying, Vote Yes or No, teleport everyone to one player on the map, people seem to not care about winning so they click yes which teleports everyone to that player, the end result is your team losing as you where all on the wrong side of the map. you then would like to know who did it, but they are nicked or in vanish so you end up leaving as you don't see the point in trying to win when something is out of your control

that is clearly not what polls should be used for, and that's (imo) plain abuse. I'm not sure that polls are the one to blame here.

When staff abuse happens feel free to email [email protected] (or dm him on discord maybe?) with the time it happened at, logs exist and while you can't know who did it, sysadmins can figure it out, and take action

[email protected] should never be mentioned in a single discord message ever who wants to write an email to report something isn‘t that what your ticket system is for

If you're trying to report a staff member, doing so in a report system that the staff member can also see, manage, close, or dismiss, isn't a great option

oc.tc/rules also makes reference to this "If you believe a staff member has directed you wrongly, please email [email protected]."

in other words: to report an issue with staff, you can't do so with the staff (or at least, not if you want it properly handled), do it with the head of staff
