#Kanto Height Limit Increases

Right now on Kanto, the height limit increases every 10 min after the 40 min mark
This has caused defending to feel annoying for many reasons. Even on maps whithout this "feature," controlling and defending sky (which is how many long games end) is difficult, but this change makes it 10x harder to control it along side the need to expand stairs very often because of it. additionally, the height limit increasing forces defenders to make the wall taller which is very annoying and prevents any kind of bowspam area on top of the wall unless the defender wants to destroy it every 10 min. All of this results in the limited def materials being drained very quickly (like crafting tables for the wall) which makes it even harder to def. All of these factors can make defending demoralizing for some.
At least the waterlanes (if placed in a good spot) were easy to maintain and didnt drain all recourses.

TL;DR

the kanto height limit increases are terrible pls remove i'm begging🙏

main points:

  • sky becones extrmely difficult to control
  • stairs need to be expanded very often
  • wall needs to be made taller very often
  • bowspam area on top of wall is harder to make
  • materials are drained extremely fast to maintain wall and stairs

Though it is still possible to have a decently long match, the height limit increasing that fast makes defending way less fun for me

First of all, you're not considering how annoying and dismotivating it is for the defenders having to *constantly * rebuild the wall, the stairs, and anti sky. And the wall has another problem that is the sniper's nest, that the 10 minute change is not near enough to break the iron bars, slabs, chests, and then build it all again. I've tried, and it becomes an infinite cycle of destroying the sniper's nest, build the wall for another height limit increase to break the sniper's nest and so on. (I'm not even considering the people rushing and shooting at you and since you're building the wall you're not fully aware of people coming, making the strongest position at the defense useless).

and you're looking this in the wrong direction, the point isn't if its possible to reach a hour game, the point is if its possible to defend, you're focusing on the duration of the game to considering the feasibility of the defense (At the 40 minute mark and every 10 minutes afterwards, the height limit is increased by 4 blocks, so 12 blocks difference that's the max every game since the change has reached), essentially, defenders could stand 35 minutes after the 12 blocks difference height. Note that kanto standard build limit is already high (32).

in all, there is a reason it is dev phased still and should not be played at all without a mapdev online at the moment, perhaps not even at all in its current state.
