On Bedrock Edition, you can gain cosmetics by getting advancements. On Essential there should be something like it. I think this could be a great idea. But, because it's not possible to check that the advancements are obtained legitimately, the Essential team should do some cosmetics that are obtained like the Trial Cape. I think this could theoretically work if the Essential team makes their own advancement system where they link the advancements to your account rather than your worlds. However this redacts from the purpose of the Essential store in the first place, which is mainly to make money so the team can be paid. So I'm not sure the hassle would be worth it from a business perspective

I am not meaning that every item and cosmetic be obtainable through some advancements. I think that making separate cosmetics is a better idea.

I see where you're coming from although as lustris mentioned it could be easily bypassed by running a command (again, unless Essential makes their own advancements) but I feel like they might not wanna go through the effort of creating such a system when they could instead release the items for free and skip a step. I agree it would be cool to see a reward system like this, and I'm not saying it won't happen, I'm just skeptical that they'll go through with it
