Although a lot of the cosmetics are really cool, mainly the emotes, the price is just out of budget in some countries. For comparison, minimum wage in USA is just about 7.25 USD per hour, but in Brazil, where I live, it is just about 1.67 USD per hour, making it extremely pricey to buy cosmetics.

Our payments provider (Tebex) doesn't appear have support for regional pricing so this wouldn't be possible for us to do unless they were to add it

There was a lot of work involved in making the move to coins which made things much simpler on our end so even though coins aren't great (at least in my opinion), I don't think our team would be too jazzed about having to put in the work to undo all of that and go back to having to deal with the headaches that come with the old method

When targeting a predominantly child user base, such as Essential users in the Hypixel community where games like Skyblock are built around the client. Using real currency instead of coins for purchases is not just practical but ethically responsible. Coins are often designed to obscure the real world value of an item, making it harder for children to understand how much they’re actually spending. This trickery encourages impulse buying because children perceive items as cheaper than they truly are. However real currency presents the cost transparently, leaving no room for confusion.

Since children’s decision making and impulse control aren’t fully developed, they’re more susceptible to manipulative spending mechanics. Coins, by nature, can exploit this vulnerability, leading to spending habits that mimic addictive/gambling behaviour. Using real currency helps prevent this kind of negative reinforcement, promoting healthier spending habits.

I would highly recommend discussing this with the core team. Thanks
