So instead of needing and only needing the one person who owns the world to open and close it you can share the world with your friends and they can host the world if you aren't there

You can already do this by having the original owner of the world send the folder for it to you and any others they wish to share it with

But then progression doesn't save you would have to constantly share folders back and forth

That's basically what would need to be done if we were to add it to the mod and it'd cost us a lot of money to do so, so it wouldn't be something we could offer for free

Sharing the folder manually is something that can be done right now at no cost outside of the time spent sending the world around

If someone really wanted to do this (which isn’t a bad idea for small friend groups who don’t want to pay for a server), there’s ways to share files between computers that will update whenever changes are made. I’m not exactly sure how to set it up at the moment, but I’ll probably see about an easy way to do so that anyone can copy. I have a friend who I play modded with often, I’ll see if he’ll run some experiments with me and I’ll post what I find here.

Sending the world would be one thing, but what op was asking was a way for the world to automatically update between those with the world. Making it so one person can progress on a world and someone else can continue where they left off with (hopefully) no hassle.

  3. set ur minecraft world to be copied into a public onedrive for ur friends

2 - minecraft HATES it when onedrive touches it

You could always use aternos and your friends make acc and you all share it then they can all turn it on on thair own
