Calling 2 par 4s short par 5s significantly changes birdie projections, but doesn't impact stroke projections. Once par is confirmed, birdie projections will be offered. For now, we are offering what we can

That changes the scoring average relative to par. The numerical average isn't effected. Sorry if you feel that there's any intended wrong doing, that isn't at all the case. We just want to give users the best possible experience, and we don't think that we can do that without offering strokes.

We specifically only listed score because a players score is absolutely irrelevant in terms of the course par. We do not offer a line for strokes relative to par (i.e. -2.5, etc). When we get further confirmation on the listed par, we will add birdies or better. The amount of birdies a player has is greatly impacted by the types of hole pars. Their raw amount of strokes will not change regardless of the course par.
