If Gamers8's qualifiers ran in these long gaps of RLCS play, they'd surely gain viewers and more fans of the format, right?

How does everyone feel about the new season format? I've seen a lot of mixed things, and the off-season is way too long imo

If we're doing 2 majors they should be spaced like 4 months apart with a lot more qualifiers in between I think. If you don't make the last major or worlds the off-season is just absolutely brutal for those players.

It wouldn't be a 4 month break. There would be smaller tournaments in there for points. Kinda like how apex has 2 majors with a bunch of smaller tournaments between for earning points and placements. It would make the season more full and, honestly competitive with more points opportunities.

And a smaller off-season is better for players and organizations. Ideally there should be no off-season at all.

I think a 2 month off-season would be ok. We just don't want to make it too long for teams that aren't going to worlds. Honestly keeping 3 regionals even works, one a month followed by the majors. Each region can have their own weekend within that month. Just spreading the existing season out a little would improve it
