It’s 100% possible it entirely depends if he is able to throw at will now without the takedown threat, the reason he suffered low success was he depended on his calf kicks to much and worried about the takedown threat in my opinion, never capitalized on his head kicks either and didn’t really get a good rhythm for his left hook, if he gets the rhythm going and stuffs the takedowns and doesn’t solely focus on leg kicks, throws high volume I think he will overwhelm ank and KO him late

The do but the punches need to be significant such as punches landed when a fighter is in the mount position or any heavy blows landed when a fighter is in someone’s guard. If the punches are just smaller annoying pitter patter punches then they don’t count as “significant” strikes

I’d still take Charles but the reason he is the underdog probably has to do with the fact that Charles is coming back very soon off of a knock out loss, and ontop of that gamrot is know for his wrestling and Charles was preparing for a fight against fiziev (primarily a striker) so Charles hadn’t trained much wrestling in this camp so the new opponent and change of styles in his opponent definitely plays a big role

Yeah but like a guy who is fresh hasn’t been finished and trains consistently vs a guy who just got knocked out a few months ago, was training for a striker, and just appeared as a coach for a DWCS fighter all aren’t the best signs. While I agree gamrot is taking a risk too Charles isn’t known much for his wrestling but more for his dangerous jiujitsu but he operates best off his back but struggles to get takedowns. Meanwhile if gamrot decides to control Charles most of the fight keeping him tied up and up against the cage it might be a difficult task for Charlie

Absolutely not, gamrot is a challenge for most fighters and definitely not an easy matchup full camp or not. But obviously full training camp I’d give it to Charlie because while gamrot has the wrestling it could be a double edged sword because Oliveira is most dangerous when you’re in his gaurd.
