Reasoning: I’m actually gonna go against the grain a little bit. Ruziboev is very tall and very long, and the way he wins fights is typically by finish. Off his back, he’s got good submissions.

He prefers to counter strike with a straight right hand. Outside of that, he’s extremely low volume. He’s got no takedown defense. 9 days ago, Ruziboev did not have a fight scheduled. McConico was scheduled to fight last week, so he’s in shape and has completed a camp. I like the IQ of McConico, and trust in his ability to prepare a solid game plan to exploit the weaknesses of Ruziboev. I’m expecting this fight to be extended with the wrestling, and I’m actually picking McConico to win by decision. Ruziboev is a great moment winner, but I expect McConico to be the better minute winner.
