It’s a team event. Rounds 1 and 3 are a “best ball”. So Scheffler is playing with Palmer. If Scheffler make a par on a hole, but Palmer makes birdie, it counts as a birdie for the team

Rounds 2 and 4 are “alternate shot”. So on one hole Scheffler will tee off, and then Palmer will hit the next shot

Bad ARG players and putters usually get away with it on paspalum grass so these courses always play a bit easier in general
