Aswell as points players get money based off where they finish. The points at the end of the year is how they determine who stays on the tour and who else gets relegated essentially. So every week is important. Also tournaments are played 1 time every-year so this tournament happens once a year

Try to think of it this way, Players aren’t playing against each other they are playing against the golf course. For example lets say player A and player B both have the same line at 68.5. Player A is a top 50 player on the tour and has been playing well, then your gonna take the under. Player B on the other hand Is around the 120-160 ranking on tour and struggles off an on, in this case your most likely going to take his over

So for me I only look at the PGA leader board for the current tournament they are playing in and see how well or bad they played the day before along with their stats, greens in regulation, fairways hit, birdies and take into consideration the caliber of player the individual is.

I look to see if it's a par 72 or 71 course then I make my picks based off of those things in conjunction with what day they are on.

For example today everyone is trying to make the cut for the weekend vs. Saturday "moving day" everyone will be trying to move up the leader board.
