That’s true but here’s the thing. There is an extremely high probability that they will score a FG in one of their first two drives. At that point Philly won’t have a comfortable lead yet, and so Shanahan is gonna want to play it safe with a perfect postseason kicker, and there’s a good chance he’ll knock down 2 before half anyways if they have the ball as the clock is running out. All I’m saying is that even if Philly commands a comfortable lead in this game and 9ers absolutely need TDs , it’s not gonna be before Gould knocks down 2 (and that’s just hypothetically putting Philly ahead in this game, which may not happen). In my opinion, I think the odds are much greater than they appear on paper

FG is definitely safer than kicking points but both of them will most likely hit. If I had to choose between Elliott and Gould I would choose Gould any day.

Either way, 2 FGs are gonna have to be made for him to clear 6.5 because there is no way SF is getting 4 TDs on the Philly defense, and with kicking points, SF absolutely has to score a TD and he has to nail the XP on top of the 2 field goals so if you’re just looking at it from an odds perspective, FG is safer
