The Four Aces would be an upgrade that allows the user to get one of four benefits every round. The benefits are noticeable, but also carry a drawback and are chosen at random, though they do not repeat themselves - if the user gets the Ace of Diamonds, then the next round they'll get any other Ace than the Ace of Diamonds.

[Ace of Diamonds]
The Ace of Diamonds would give the user's Main Gun a large increase in damage (chosen randomly between +30-+60) but would give them a matching reduction to fire rate. When the Ace of Diamonds is being used, the user bullets leave a blue trace.

[Ace of Hearts]
The Ace of Hearts would give the user a large increase in maximum hp (chosen randomly between +50%-+100%), but would completely negate any healing upgrade they have. In the case of Regeneration, the user would take damage instead of recovering HP. When the Ace of Hearts is in effect, the user leaves a faint red trail when moving.

[Ace of Spades]
This Ace would give the user a large increase in knife range and attack speed, chosen randomly between +40%-+80% and +25%-+50% respectively. In turn, however, the user will be unable to use any directly offensive skill, this includes the main gun, grenades, and main gun attachments. In case the user has Throwing Knife, range affects the flight speed of the knife as well. When in effect, the user of Ace of Spades radiates a faint black aura, with a gray spade tail on their back.

[Ace of Clovers]
The Ace of Clovers would give the user a large increase in critical chance, of +30%-+60%, and would give them a small chance (of 5-10%) to gain a chosen upgrade twice at the end of the round. If the upgrade is at max tier or has only 1 tier, the Ace of Clovers will instead double it's given critical hit chance. In the case the user's critical chance goes above 100, critical hits have a chance to deal more even more damage. However, the user will have between 45-90% reduced HP. When in use, the user leaves green patches on the ground.

So Diamonds is +Damage -Atk Speed
Hearts is + Health -Regen
Spades is + Knife - Everything else
Clovers is + Crit - Health

There are some fun ideas in this conglomerate but i feel as if the luck factor (which is arguably the center point of this idea) is WAY to important. I'd advise to make the stat modifiers a set value.

Could you specify the amount of +damage for the Mega crit? and if it stacks with increased crit damage and if so. Does it stack like this
Crit + Mega crit value = Mega crit damage
Increase Crit + Mega crit value = Mega crit damage
Crit + Increased Mega crit = Mega crit damage
increase Crit + increase Mega crit value = Mega crit damage

Or anything really.
JUst explain mega crit

The "Mega crit" works the same way as a normal crit does, but to the crit itself. In other words, the amount above 100 crit chance you have is your chance to do a mega crit. On top of this, mega crit is affected by crit damage modifiers the same way crit damage is affected by damage modifiers. So Mega crit would use the total crit damage as base.

Just as an example, let's say you have Insurance - the upgrade that makes it so you are guaranteed to crit on your last 5 shots. And your Ace of Clovers rolls for 40, since you triggered a double upgrade but it didn't max out.

#

That means you have 140 crit chance on your last 5 bullets. In other words, your last 5 bullets have 40% chance to be a mega crit

#

With that out of the way, lets move on to damage.

#

Lets imagine normal crit is 1.75x your normal damage, with no upgrades.

Mega crit would be 1.75x your CRIT damage, aka 3.5x your normal damage.

#

If you have a crit damage increaser, let's say you're doing 2x your normal damage. mega crit would be 2x of that. So 4x normal damage.

Ok then.
Good Sh*t 👍

Still lack consistency but good idea.

And i like the concept of the mega crit even as an isolated upgrade.

Hey i got a question.
When does the effect of the ace changes?
And does the player knows in what it changed?
And can an ace change to itself? cause y'know. randomness.

# fallow pawn Hey i got a question. When does the effect of the ace changes? And does the play...

This is explained in the first post. The Aces change every round, but they cannot repeat themselves - so at first it starts completely random, but by the end you will have a much better idea of what you will get. After a full loop (aka 4 rounds), the thing gets fully randomized again. Also, yes, since every round it changes, you will see a different ability icon in your skill bar, and you will also be able to see the effects of the Aces during the match (for example, the blue traces of Ace of Diamond and the red trail of Ace of Hearts).

Okie but my question was more like.

#

Does the ace change before or after you pick a card?

#

To me it's important for the clover especially
