I don't see why minor topics such as this isn't allowed, considering this is the same franchise where octolings get chopped up by a giant blender, or specials such as ink strikes exists. but if a mod asks me to take down the post I will.

So? I'm not trying to make fun of any real incident, I really don't get why this is such a big deal. I just came here to ask a lore question to start a discussion about SPLATOON, Not the real world.
Nobody should've fell victim to what happened in real life, but I don't see why it's so wrong to ask some small stuff related to the topic for the in game universe.
