Master Forge doesn't type anything at all

After connecting my new master forge to my windows PC no lever seems to send any input at all. It is detected by windows, the online chara chorder does see it and connect, I have updated firmware, and I've tried a factory reset.

I don't know if I'm missing something really obvious or what. Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong?

Currently the Master Forge is expected to be connected like this:

I thought both halves were independent though why is it the left that has to be connected

the two halves are not yet independent
the right half can't work on its own, in the firmware of today
and the top left most port on both of them is the port that does the communication to PC or to other half

it is only a firmware limitation right now, yes. To simplify things we made it so the right half is similar to the right half of a CC2 at this moment (sending over it's keystrokes to the left half).
To truly have the forge ecosystem where either anchor body can be the one connected to the PC requires quite a bit of firmware change

I do have mine in that configuration. I’ve swapped out the bridge for the included c to c cable as well. No dice.

I think I’ve done that but it’s not really clear if the chat bot made a ticket. It has my name and email plus a couple messages. Surely that did something

Do you know how long they tend to take to reply? The chat popup did say 1 to 3 days I believe. Also is there any way to see any sort of debug output at all to see if the device thinks any lever is moving?
