If you mean when you buy a CCLite, and you want it to arrive with red switches. Then we have to ask the CCTeam.
But if you mean when you already have a CCLite, then yes they are hot-swappable:

The CharaChorder Lite comes with a 60% set of Gateron Clear/White switches. These switches are mechanical and linear, and require only 35 grams (g) of force to actuate, making them some of the lightest switches on the market. We, at CharaChorder, find that lighter switches make chording quicker and more efficient, but you’re welcome to swap the default switches with other, third party options.
When searching for switches that fit the CCL, make sure that the switches are labeled as “mechanical switches”. The CharaChorder Lite is a 60% keyboard, but you will only need 67 switches to fill the CharaChorder Lite.
So, I understand from you that I can change them with red switches, provided that they are mechanical
Yes, the store page https://www.charachorder.com/products/charachorder-lite
also says:
Hotswap Mechanical
2mm actuation distance and 35-gram activation force. Hotswap design means that you can easily substitute any standard mechanical switches solder-free.
CharaChorder Lite is more than just a keyboard; it's a productivity powerhouse designed to dramatically enhance your typing speed and accuracy. Here's how it works: Traditional Entry: Type individual letters like a regular keyboard, perfect for familiar tasks or learning the ropes. Fluid Chord/Character Entry: Press mu

A full walkthrough for swapping a backspace key. White switches are stock, blue switches are the ones I use. The tool makes pulling the key easier, but is absolutely not required, especially for a key like backspace
Yep I changed mine. You just have to be carful to not bend the pins
Just make sure you get 3 pin switches and not 5 pin
If both 3 and 5 pin switches are common, then that should probably be added to the docs.
I don’t know how common they are but when I was looking for new switches for mine, I saw both available
Yeah, then that's important to know, otherwise, someone won't find that out until they have 5 pin switches next to them, and they pull up the first switch and see that they need 3 pin switches.
Yeah lol
If anyone has tried to switch reddragon is it ok or not ??
its oki or not in charachorder lite ??
If it has 3 pins and is a mechanical switch, then yes it will work.
It seems like it also is possible to convert a 5-pin switch to a 3-pin switch. Because the two extra pins are just plastic legs that can be cut off. https://switchandclick.com/plate-mounted-vs-pcb-mounted-keyboard/
But it's less work to buy 3-pin switches.
That would get annoying to have to do that to 67 switches
Looks like it will work. Just know that those ones have a higher actuation force.
yeh bro thank you its done 👌
solved ✅
its amazing now !!
