@dense laurel hi, here's the thread

dense laurel
#

Okay, so yeah, you said you rebooted it

#

what steps were you following along?

trim stag
#

yeah, then i went here

#

and since i got mine pre 2023 i followed the link

dense laurel
#

Okay

trim stag
#

but i cant connect to the io website

#

my device is a seeduino

#

i might consider just trying to update?

#

im able to connect to the new manager website, so maybe i have ccos?

dense laurel
trim stag
#

yeah

dense laurel
#

yeah, that one doesn't let you find the device

#

sounds like your device is in bootloader mode

trim stag
#

yes from the prev step it is

#

fyi it says to go to launchpad in the guide

dense laurel
#

I am confused...

trim stag
dense laurel
#

what step made you put it in bootloader mode?

trim stag
#

oh

dense laurel
#

step 1 is to connect to the device

trim stag
#

i can show you

dense laurel
#

there are no steps prior to this

trim stag
#

the process started in the new manager website and this was the first link

#

for updating the firmware

dense laurel
#

ah

eternal pebbleBOT
#

GG @dense laurel, you just advanced to level 56!

dense laurel
#

I guess you didn't see this shortly above ... okay

#

I hear you

trim stag
#

oh...

dense laurel
#

that is something we can improve

trim stag
#

sorry yeah i missed that

dense laurel
#

@arctic patio @gloomy loom

#

see above missing notes about pre CCOS due to where we linked Deyg

#

anywho, your device is in bootloader mode so we need to get it out of that

#

do you see it mounted as a folder on your PC?

trim stag
#

yes

dense laurel
#

okay one sec

#

I need to try to find a pre CCOS firmware for you to load in I think

#

I don't think the M0 devices when you unplug them will automatically just restart

trim stag
#

btw i think part of the issue was when i clicked the firmware update instruction link, it sent me to the update firmware title, so it skipped the first part about ccos

dense laurel
trim stag
#

oh nice it connected

dense laurel
#

Oh, nice indeed

#

So you can try the othersteps now?

trim stag
#

yeah, is there a way to know if i have ccos, or is it just any pre 2023 dont have it

dense laurel
#

yes, you can look in your GTM

#

should be shown as a version somewhere in there

trim stag
#

oh i see

eternal pebbleBOT
#

GG @trim stag, you just advanced to level 4!

dense laurel
#

just showing me the GTM output likely would be enough

#

the structure changed some with CCOS

dense laurel
#

but yeah, if you connect to the launch pad manager and it says this:

#

you likely have CCOS already

trim stag
#

yeah it says ccos ready when i plug it in

dense laurel
#

oh

#

then you have CCOS, lol

#

I forgot about that

#

it used to say "CharaChorder is ready."

trim stag
#

haha nice

#

adding ways to check if one has ccos or not might be a good idea to add to this line

dense laurel
#

yeah, I can do that

trim stag
#

nice, i wasnt sure what a ccos was when i read it haha

#

thx 4 support

dense laurel
#

no problem

dense laurel
trim stag
#

Nice! that was quick. Yeah that looks clear to me

trim stag
#

Another issue i have is both numshifts together don't give me the numshift layer like fn2

#

This was after I got a replacement left or right part i believe

dense laurel
#

that is no longer how function layer is accessed on CCOS

#

it's a 3d press on one pinky switch now
