This is my current key layout for my CC1, but I haven't really looked at the 3rd layer yet

#

I've read about some of you deleting all chords with 2 letters.

#

Do you mean by that that you deleted all chords made out of 2 letters, or do you mean you deleted all chords for 2 letter words, like: to, in, do, of?

#

I'm asking because I use a lot of 2 letter chords, so chords made of 2 letters (or 1 letter and a thingy like € or # or , )

i dont make any two letter chords because i want to avoid chording in the middle of fast character entry. that includes two letter inputs as well as outputs

Oooo is that the reason, didn't know that. So it's only to avoid unvoluntary chording during character entry. Then I guess I can keep my 2 letter chords for the time being, because I'm way too slow with chentry to get surprised by chords popping up unexpectedly

#

That, and I really love my simple 2 letter chords, because I've tried some 3 and 4 letter chords but my fingers and brain can't seem to process them yet 😬

Yes me too, just started recently with my CC1 journey 😄 but even though a am slow, when practicing i still try to wait and think about all the inputs of a word and then try to type them as fast as possible instead of slowly typing one dedicated key after another. Maybe you know that feeling if you were/are a fast qwerty typist. That might be slower than typing one key after another for now but i hope that it helps with the muscle memory for later. And doing that i get the t+h for example very often. And i feel like for chords its not a problem to slam down a another third key, that is easy to access, to make it a 3 letter chord instead of two.

Aaaah of course, as a 3rd letter for the chord I can just pick whatever letter I want, as long as it’s in a convenient place to hit it easy.

#

I’ve tried that too, to think about the movements of a word before I hit the keys, so I can then spit them out quickly. My problem for now is that if I think about what I’m doing, it often goes wrong. If I just go for it in a steady pace, the muscle memory starts to kick in and it works a bit better
