CCOS 1.1 doesn't load proper anymore | CharaChorder | Page 1

since i updated to ccos 1.1 it crashed several times when i tryed to chord. i tryed to reset it at http://iq-eq.io/#/manger via RST CLEARCML and RST STARTER. after this, chording worked again. but as soon as i added an individual chord, it chrashed again and wasn't using anymore, even for charentry.

after i tryed RST CLEARCML and RST STARTER once again not all chords got loaded and it stucked again. so i tryed unplug and plug in again. now, every time ccos doesn't load correctly. it only shows "Loading 126 Chordmaps." and than the ccos loading crashes. it's also not possible to connect via iq-eq anymore, so i can't even use the bootloader to reinstall the current.uf2

any suggestions? itried to fix it by using windows (mac user normaly) too. the is google chrome also crashing, when i click at connect at iq-eq.

When you say crash does that mean all the sticks stop responding? Like no letters come out?

yes, the sticks don't respond anymore (and the message that ccos is loades dosn't appear also).

what does step 15 mean? there is no on/off switch on cc1? or should i restart my mac?

Unplug the cable connecting that is connected on the computer end and re-plug it in. Like a power cycle.

brb. will wait a few minutes for the result of RST STARTER. in opposite to when i use windows, i have not a clear response on mac. there is no way to see, that the webpage connected proper? on windows chrome crashes, when i open the connect dialog

okay. i did the steps. nothing changes. if i plug in the device there still stands "Loading 126 Chordmaps." and if i try to connect to iq-eq there will be no connection. after clicking to connect and chose cc1 nothing changes.

don't i need bootloader for this? bootloader doesn't open too :/

on mac i don't see it official crash, only on windows. mac just seems to ignore, that it doesn't work

no, i installed 1.1. bought my device end of last year and got it 3 days ago with 9.15

Hmm, the only 3 ways I can think of is that:

device is stuck in bootloader mode
it's on the old firmware, in which case ID does not respond.
the device itself has hardware issues to the point it is severely malfunctioning.

I would keep a Finder open nearby to make sure it's not in USB drive mode (where you drag and drop firmware).

Make sure all tabs are closed and no tab with the "chip" icon is present.

I'm on CCOS so launchpad does not work for me (as expected), an iq-eq get me the version number.

no, thats not longer possible on launchpad. there absolutly nothing happens. no mather using launchpad or iq-eq

it was possible since i updated to 1.0.1, regulary but now nothing happens anymore. also the first times with 1.0.1 it was possible too, but after a few attemps using RST CLEARCML because my chords stucked the sticks the "CCOS is started" thing doesn't appear anymore and the sticks stopped working the whole time instead of just when i try to use a custom chord.

i need to go to bed, otherwise i'll be dead by tomorrow. my daughter will wake up in arround 4 hours... thanks for your patience... hope we will get this fixed, but i start to doubt.

Yeah, sorry to hear. This more and more like a hardware issue. It's very without a stream for me to suggest ideas. I would like to maybe get it replaced under warranty.

Thanks for the suggestion. But meanwhile I erased the downloaded file out of my download folder. but if i remember correct, it was .UF2 so it should be correct? i can't confirm this for sure and guess i also could not reflash as long as bootloader won't work?

there is no drive showing up, unless bootloader works?
chrome still crashs if i try to connect at serialterminal. support is informed. maybe they can answer me something that will make me hope soon.
