When searching for a player name in the world map a list of say 3 suggestions that are related to what is being typed should be displayed and be clickable. This is reasonably standard in a lot of user interfaces and would help finding people.
Alternatively searching is done in a scrollable box that is populated depending on what you type.

Not really necessary. Like if you type E11N a list of room numbers is not that useful

Wholeheartedly agree that we should have search suggestions / autocomplete for player names.
It would also be nice if that functionality was added to the search box in the leaderboard UI.

Search box limitations that don't match the limitations in place elsewhere are one of my biggest pet peeves.
