Overview:

About:

  • Channel3 is a place where combat and player interaction are encouraged.
  • Some protections are in place to make areas that are safer for newer players to spawn. (isolated spawn areas)
  • Underutilized rooms will be regenerated.
  • Collaborative testing is allowed.

@potent idol provides the hardware and hosting.

Rules:

  • Open source bots are allowed but will be treated as second class citizens behind the needs of original bots.
  • Non-coding players rooms may be cleared without notice to make space for original bots.

Settings:

  • CPU limit scales based on GCL
  • DynamicMarket is enabled.
  • The history mod is not currently enabled.
  • Resets will happen every few months, or when the server requires it.
  • Back up your code!

when you say rooms will be regenerated, i assume you dont mean recreating the whole room?
just asking since that would throw lots of issues for bots that automatically scout and naturally assume rooms are permanent

The original plan (~2 years ago) was to have a script that recreated whole rooms.
This never happened.
Instead we have admins that just clear existing rooms.
I'll update that line.

as in you actually want rooms to be regenerated on the fly without a server reset etc?
if so, that seems problematic due to aforementioned reasons. not sure if there's a way to mitigate those
