I'd suggest something close to the venue. The area it is in is not the best area (though also not a horrible one) so I'd say get one you can reach by foot. Some of us are also planning to get a dorm room together so if you didn't feel safe going there alone at night, I think a lot of us wouldn't mind accompanying you to the hotel and then going back to our's. Idk how much you wanzed to spend and what you wanted to have in the ho(s)tel so idk what to suggest. I can help you look once I return from uni though.

So firstly: The identification document (so your ID) needs to be at list 3 more months valid at the point you enter Germany and have been created within in the last 10 years.
Sometimes you might also be asled to show documentation for your reason to visit (I think a buy confirmation of it or the ticket itself will probably suffice). You also might be asked to show confirmation that you have the funds to survive here for the time you visit and to travel back home. Idk in what circumstances these are required, they are just listed in the FAQ of the Federal Foreign Office.

It's not so bad. Especially in a big city like Hamburg there will be buses and trams like every 10-15 minutes of the well-used ones. And there is also not a lot to remember here about it. You buy your ticket and just either show the driver or just get on and show if someone goes around checking them

I am not saying that it won't be that rule, but the venue does not specify that on their website, but rather that it depends on the organiser with them, therefor I inquired to get a definitive answer, if they know already. Other venues already outright state that only that size can be brought, this venue does not. It's nothing more, nothing less than just inquiring for a definitive answer if they can give one.

I myself, like many others here, have been to Many concerts and as everyone says, yes, it shouldn't be bigger than DIN A4.
