Was playing a game with my brother, we got to night 12. I was host. on my side his defenses was lost and the enemy was attacking the keep. on his side he was still holding the wall and defenses without any issues. looked like 2 complete different games being played..

when the keep fell on my side it was defeat, but on his screen the hp was also still full ..

Same problem here.

We tried a couple of games and we got the same issue.

I saw troops on my screen that had been destroyed for my friends pov.

Many times he said "I've lost all my cultists" but not on my screen, he was still 30+ cultists.

We share screenshots, it was a complete desync.

Hi , It is a pleasure, these pesky bugs are hard to narrow down..

from ours we had 3 games fail. I cannot recall who was the first game but I know I was the volatists faction. and my brother has played Aelis for all games except 1 . where we both played volatists.

rather the opposite information could also be uselful, we have played about 4 games without any issues if no one was volatists.

I am 100% sure everytime we had a crash it was the Aurelia in the game..
on my way to play a few with vizargo to find out XD

played 4 matches with edwin and Aurelia, not a single desync. also did 2 matches with vizargo no issues

Hi,
Me and my friend played 4 games, first game we desynced at 3rd death night, second game we got descyn at 2nd death night, it was actually funny how we saw competly separate things. Today we played 2 more games, but we disabled auto save and pause futures. Desync never happened.

Hello everyone, I also encountered this problem. I played with two different friends, the first thing that caught my eye was Aurelia, in games where Aurelia was there was desynchronization. When I played for Aurelia, there were no such errors or problems, because I did not control her enough, and often lost her. But both friends played well and used the 3rd ability for the crystal, after which it seemed like desynchronization began

Oh no, I realize I made a fatal error in my last message, I said we played 4 matches with aurelia, I meant to say Aelis. I was trying to confirm that I think the problem is with Aurelia. and instead contradicted myself. I apologize if that caused unnecessary confusion.
@restive topaz Mentioned a crucial point, I cant recall a desync happening before I used the 3rd abillity either

its repeatable when auto saving it can desync abit higher then 50/50 chance. the saves also seem to have issue with being cloud synced, and to load a multiplayer game you have to close your program and wait for the could to sync before it will let you load it.

I still find it difficult to say whether the problem is in autosaves or Aurelia, but when autosaves were disabled and Aurelia was not taken, we played about 6-7 matches, there was no desynchronization. Then I try to return Autosaves and observe, but until Aurelia was taken and played with autosaves turned on, I did not know about this problem.

Noticed since the new 1.1 patch multiplayer games are becoming fully desynced pretty easily

Essentially playing two seperate games, only a few orders seem to come in from the other player

I have been playing with autosaves on this whole time, and so far haven't desynced once with other character combos,
my brother plays Aelis and I have played every other hero in combination with her. so it is either the Aelis and Aurelia combo that has issues. or just Aurelia. We have played about 30 games with auto save on and only the before mentioned combo caused desync

Really disappointed with this, was hoping for some fun games with a friend this weekend (why are you pushing updates before the weekend?). Anyway, we found it quite easy to reproduce, we played 2 matches and it happened both times. We were both using Order heroes, and almost immediately my units (I was host) were not at the position where he saw them. We were streaming the game on discord.

Ps: we were playing on Easy, we didn't try any other difficulty.

We got desync after the first woodcutter hut.

Played game in coop for the first time today. Game ran out of sync like 5 games in 2 hours. Sometimes just one minute after start. Unplayable right now. Worst thing is: You don't even know its out of sync so you keep playing until someone realizes we are not playing together for some time.
Autosave was on. Heroes Merek & Edwin most of the time.

So we tried again, my friend was host this time and everything worked fine. I'm guessting it's not that easy to reproduce after all? He was Edwin, I was Aelis. He has a much better pc than me and he loaded in much quicker, maybe that has anything to do with it?

I played with my friend like 3 or 4 games and always desync after 1 min or so. We both was playing normally but with ''inactive'' friend with both own version of game match. (my and my fried rebel hero)

If I am not mistaken the game does create an autosave right when the game starts even if both players have autosave set to "on exit" and this has a good chance of desyncing the game.

We played a lot of matches, autosaves don't seem to cause desynchronization (there was one case, but then the hero was from the green faction), the red and blue factions in combination work fine, but we found that the heroes of the green faction cause desynchronization. The common thing that can be emphasized is the ability of the shock wave, both heroes have it, perhaps this is the source of desynchronization. It is important that in all these tests the host did not play for the Green faction.

I just encountered this issue twice in a row in coop. Both on veteran difficulty. I was Aelis, friend was Edwin. Auto save on maximum frequency. Desynced almost immediately both times. Maybe after the first day/auto save? Maybe before? I wasn't watching his troops but I got the notification that his hero died. After that everything goes whacky.

Purely from my observations:
1 do not take heroes of the green faction
2 disable autosave.
These two points eliminate this problem. Now we often play with friends on the penultimate difficulty, there is no desynchronization. Perhaps the host can also play for the heroes of the green faction and everything will be fine, but this needs to be checked, I am not really ready to spend time on this yet

Well with a friend we tried to play MP today, we desactivate the autosave, he played aelis and i Edwin, 2 games, 2 desinc' before the first death night. Unplayable. Hopefully the team is working on it because it's pretty annoying

My latest games with desync: Edwin & Merek, Edwin & Vizargo. Three games with Aurelia & Cyrus without any sync problems. Desync as usual in first minutes of a match.

Played 5 games yesterday. 3 desync in first minutes. Fourth game desync after half an hour. All games with Aurelia & Cyrus. I don't think it is related to a specific hero. We probably had all combinations running into desync. I saved the fourth game but we could not load it. It showed cloud errors next to the savegame in the load game screen. Most annoying thing about this desync is you never know about it. Players can still pause the game, see some units moving in real time but half of the buildings and units on screen are missing. If the game just showed a popup "you are out of sync" so we can quit and restart would help a lot...

One thing that we've found out about this issue is that it seems to be related to player commands. Clicking on a single unit always caused a desync for us with the unit moving only for one player and not the other while box-commands worked fine for us. Missing/out-of-sync buildings happened when we built them in the vision range of a unit that had desynced and so was built outside of the vision range of one player and not the other. This was reproducible for us.

Zombies were still out-of-sync for us even with using only box-commands and we had a bug with buildings that might've been destroyed and rebuilt, but we didn't do testing on that yet. Hopefully this is helpful to the devs.

Every match I've played has desynced within the first 10 minutes. We only realise when one of us mentions the others base has been attacked and the other can't see it. It doesn't matter who we play, if we save or don't save or if we use pause or don't. It happens regardless.

Me and my friend always desync before the third wave. It makes the game pretty unplayable.

Maybe that helps tracking down the problem. The earliest desync we could force was both players load into the game. Player A sends all units to player B keep. Player A left clicks hero and moves hero -> desync. Player B does not see hero moving. No combat or hero abilities involved. Player B did not do anything. Player just moved units.

also conducted tests when the host plays for the green faction, in 3 matches there was no desynchronization, autosaves are disabled

I suspect some nuance either in the heroes of the green faction or the faction itself, that's what causes desynchronization on the client side

Adding Extra information:

my friend can pause the game and i see it and am able to unpause the game
i see messages that he defeated enemy camp and i should get units (i do not that part is black on my map)

i can see his buildings building (that is still in sync).

but not units moving.

All desync I've had was all about who I played with. Some ppl I get no desync. Some ppl I desync immediately every time. Some ppl 1 desync like once every few games.

For example I was playing with someone on satellite internet. If I host the game - instant desync. If they host - we were able to play no issue.

So even depending on who hosts it can differ.

Could this problem appear with small system clock issue ? (For example : If my computer says it’s 9:05:07 and my brother’s computer says it’s 9:05:08)

I've had serious multiplayer desync issues where the game crashes these past few days when my buddy and I play as Edwin and Vizargo. Tried reloading auto saves, wiping all saves, reinstalling the game, trying from completely new without doing any manual saves and still crashes.

Today we had lots of desyncs. Also the Cloud Save is not synced bug is back BUT we have both Steam Cloud saves DISABLED... Quitting and reloading makes the save games loadable
