#Cant load any games

Doesnt matter how many times i click save or exit to main menu.......... nothing allows me to load games in multiplayer..... frustrating when one of us has to go do something!

Having an issue rn where game crashed on final night, and now we can't load the autosave, get various error messages each time with the most recent being pictured

Hey @dense tulip I'm sorry to hear you've been having trouble loading your save! Multiplayer saves are cloud based, so we'd recommend trying the following to see if this helps to load in:

  • Try restarting the game and waiting a while until the game synchronises with the Steam Cloud
  • Try clearing your Steam cloud storage as it may be full
  • Try deleting any old AOD Multiplayer saves to re-enable the latest save.
    The host will have the save sent to their cloud storage.

Let us know if you're still having trouble after giving these a go!

Hey @dense tulip I know this may not be the exact solution, but just wanted to give more insight on how our save system works.

Whomever is hosting at that time, the save will go into that individuals Steam Cloud Save Storage. There is more information on how this specifically works within the games Multiplayer Load Game UI Menu.

Secondly the save will never appear in the Clients storage (second player)

This also means technically the Host can continue that save with anyone, and different people can hop in and out as the second player filling in the shoes of others.

Hey @stuck kite @dense tulip @glass cliff just an update here on our internal investigation, one of our many leads is indicating that this could be related to specific anti-virus softwares. By any chance if any of you could authorise Age of Darkness and see if that yields any results that would help us out a lot!

We will continue to work hard on this.

i totally started typing on this and i forgot to finish it....
so after reading through the comments on other posts . i discovered that if we loaded into a new game and then quit right away and rehosted. We could load our old games.

Yuuta - we havent played in like a month (if im being Honest).
