Hi there,
We have a 3rd site backup cluster which consists of four FAS2700 nodes (2 x HA), and they are currently connected using unsupported Nexus switches.
I managed to aquire a set of Nexus 3132Q-V... I am looking at the ClusterRFC and there doesn't seem to be any configuration for the four 10G SFP+ ports which we planed to use for the FAS2700 nodes.
Do I just add the port profile on the four ports? (or am I looking at the wrong RFC-file? (ClusterRCF_1.8))

the RCF should have the interface breakout module 1 port 1-6 map 10g-4x line somewhere at the top, that switches the ports to breakout mode. Then you use breakout cables to connect the controllers

#

(I'm looking at an older 1.6 Cluster RCF file, and that has that line in there, and also configs for ports 1/1/1-1/1/4, 1/2/1-1/2/4, ...)

#

there's supposedly "breakout" and "non-breakout" RCF files out there but I cannot seem to download them right now (page keeps giving me an error)

#

I think this is the one you need

OK, so I cannot use the four 10G SFP+ ports to the left on the switch?

#

Just for ref... the four SFP+ ports are numberrd 1-4 and the rest are 1-32...

yeah was about to post that link, I knew there was some way to do that. I never did it though, we always simply used breakout cables

Did some more reading 😉 The four 10G STP+ ports are actually "linked" to the first 40G QSFP port, so it's and either / or situation... if only they had done a better job at marking that on the switch 😉

Right. That’s the whole idea of the “hardware profile front portmode” command. Use either the first qsfp port or the 4x10

I’ve followed behind sone people that did this on one switch but not both and had upset cluster connections
