I'm considering the possibility of just consolidating the entire ESXi footprint onto the 3 380s, but having the 360s there for parts and expansion. Fortunately, they're all the same CPU model so should be able to co-exist in the same host cluster

I also wanted to see if I could shove it all into one rack, and while it's technically "possible" I'm not sure I would want to concentrate that much weight in that small of an area

I'm having issues with stability on 6.7 personally, the network will just sieze up entirely on me and I have to power cycle the box

I'm starting to bump into CPU and ram constraints again, so I'll be looking around at my options next year. Hopefully the NUC line still has legs. Small, quiet, low power, all good things.

not really, its everything else. If I want to run a model of something like astra datastore, i'm going to need to spin up multiple 10vcpu worker nodes, and these quad core NUCs can't even power one on.
