Badge pickup on Sunday runs until 5pm. The Warmup Party starts at 6 at Losers Bar up near the elevators and main lobby back in the casino.

The reception/welcome party on Monday is in the expo hall.

Snapdiff could be neat if integrated thoughtfully... The demos still felt a bit high-level, so unsure of exactly what the idea is around collections in BlueXP. If I'm reading between the lines, the idea is to generate metadata from file-level info, but then maybe you can go deeper with collections... perhaps chunking the data from the files and generating vector-embeddings from those chunks for RAG-based applications and use cases. If that is the case, then snapdiff can help identify what chunks of files have updates and only update the vector-embeddings for those chunks over time.

For the bulk of use cases out there, it's unlikely that you need to train your own models. Using your existing data with a RAG-based architecture will likely meet the needs for many use cases. Identifying what files to index via vector embeddings (creating collections) and having an automated pipeline to keep those vectors up-to-date is a great start.

That was actually a thing once. Photon IoT was a containerized ONTAP for the Raspberry Pi. I think internally it was called Bento? But it has been shelved and never left beta, as far as I know

What you mean is a new concept called Storage Availability Zone (SAZ). The main difference is that there is no more aggr ownership but it's a storage pool accessible by both nodes in the HA-pair.
But this comes only for the new ASA models (A70, A90, A1K) where simplification was the main goal. Everything stays the same for all other ONTAP based models.

@pastel axle The biggest takeaway was that Amazon, Microsoft & Google all made it official and are married to NetApp.

The real big takeaway was the upcoming ASA line, and that NetApp honestly made the config & deploy as easy as it honestly can be. People who had never touched System Manager were able to deploy the new systems in under 5 minutes.

What did you think of the event? What did you talk about? Who did you talk with- New people, coworkers, old friends?
