Overflow in file input

the input is fine when I have a single file uploaded. But it grows beyond the screen width when there are too many images.

What CSS can I use to fix this?

Try using the input outside of Stack and see whether that fixes the issue

but that will mess up the order of inputs

Try setting maw="100%" on your input then
