Ill start this by saying no idea if this is good or not, its worked fairly well for me, a friend and I managed to get to 50+ on boss rush before choosing to stop, could have gone further but we got a sheliak and sheliak takes ages for our builds, highest hit i have managed is 7.5mil using weighted eminent card and hitting something weak to hammer. It is also fairly squishy, but has a lot of injury resist so can block a lot, mainly used with hammer, axe there for the few that resist hammer
#No Crit Melee Build

Followed. I was looking for a build exactly like this so thank you for working on one
May I ask how you're taking advantage of charm of sisyphus and atlas? Does being extremely overencumbered benefit melee damage?
so not extremely but yeah, sisyphus caps out as soon as you hit overencumbered, so you just have to reach your weight limit, i have a huge stack of wood to make sure im always above it, the higher my weight the higher sisyphus ramps, but i have hit a point where i have to balance melee dmg and weight to get optimal dps increases
Ohhhh, so that's why there are two sheliaks
did some changes after learning some new things, adding the 1 hander hammer purely as a heal, get 1300ish ticks of heals with salvation so enough to just power through anything, changed a few gear pieces out, and used shadowfin perch to get some extra stam with same melee as beezleboar, with morale buff + weight buff from herbivore + buff from venom, hitting normal hits of about 2.1mil, also kinda nice thing, the emote gets animation cancelled when you are poisoned
What is your source of poison?
charm of herbivore
Ooohh, right you get poisoned when eating meat. Thanks
yeah that and the weight buff when u eat vegetables makes it great
But that's rng right? Or do you just keep on eating veggies until you get the weight buff?
eat 3 and u get all 3, it nevers doubles on 1
changed the surf and turf to this for 10% more melee, and after a bit of testing and some number magick done by a friend, found out its basically as good as its getting, could possibly min max to get some minor increases but i think this is as good as it gets for now untill something changes
No Crit Melee Build
The choice of pellucidic over bismaltus is for the injury resist, right?
So you can block more = charm of discharge goes brrr?
pretty much yeah, helps that its also easy to farm
also helps to not break your legs if you use the weighted eminence card for more dmg
Oh right I forgot about that card
What's the fabled yex for in the axe? To enhance ring of empowerment?
before the heal hammer i was trying to put some magick in to boost self healing, thought it gotten rid of it, apparently hadnt checked the axe
Oohh, I see
Have you considered using Geist Mushroom instead of potato for the hearty stew, and just using 3 hearty stews with 3 different flower aromatics?
I use the vegetable medley to get the 15% weight buff from herbivore, could get buff then switch to another food for some more stats, would be more dmg but more of a hassle than i care for
and i may be wrong, but im fairly sure the potato was a spice and since we cant seed tier 5 things, cant swap it for geist mushrooms
I read the tags on the foods wrong too, you have pumpkin not potato. What did you put into the "raw edible plant" slot for the hearty stew then, because I think you can put Geist Mushroom there?
i use carnute ichor for more melee
my stats are at a point where melee increases were worth about 20% more to total damage then weight increases
so actually 30 points in weight might be better using my own maths lol
but yeah its a difference of like 10-20k when im hitting for over 1mil, so technically better, but its getting very min maxxy
i do have max weight food that i tried but it ended up dropping my damage, without a significant gain of either stat, only way build gets better is maybe swapping out some charms, a friend was doing some testing and said that momentum was better then morale
Oh yeah, charms can have a huge effect. I've got a list of the magnitudes of some of the charms at the end of the critstab guide if you want to check that out. Though I never bothered listing or figuring out some of them, like momentum.
i havent done a lot of maths or anything on them, but i was using a few hitting something and seeing damage differences, charms and spells take the little over 1 mil base hit and ramp it up to like 4mil ish, then if i add in weighted eminence and weakness to that damage type i managed a 9mil hit before recent upgrades so can probs get a bit higher now, and havent tried with ice ammo aswell, if its a straight double damage might be close to hitting 20mil solo, which isnt bad for a no crit build
Thanks for build. Relevant?
I'm in end game, really about to quit... but I'd love to make a great build before I go. I thought I was doing well at 4k melee and 20x crit, then I saw this... but I dont fully understand it. Why does it show just melee and no crit in your player stats? I'll have to study the rest of the build but I do see you have crit in many places.
charm of ferocity makes you do more damage by default, but you can no longer crit
havent played in a while but I dont think its changed. There are much better crit builds then no crit builds, but this build for sure works. It's a comfy build, I could just swing without worrying about aiming. Got through first 40-50 waves easily enough which was plenty for my farming needs
Could you please save the config of your build (fully clothed and armed)on the website https://nightingale.rayleon.net and put it here. It won't take long. And did you use the standard forge and greenhouse maps when crafting?

Here is an example of another build with a critical hit. Could you do exactly the same?
