Having trouble with "Favour for a Favour" quest

I went to the location marked on my map for the glyph but there is no Fae ruin there, or nearby. It's up on a hill but the only cave under it is the one for the corrupted mushroom quest from Desma. Am I looking in the wrong place? Any help would be appreciated.

For the mushroom, you went into the left path, go down the right path.

Right path has a sloped going up.

For this quest, is there anything that happens if you try to memorize the shape first?
