Hello!
I just got to the part where you craft a forest and an antiquearan card and need to go through the portal. I put them both in sucessfully in a small portal, went through, and it didnt work so I went back. Tried with big portal, it took my cards and vanished them. Got more cards, tried again, and it takes them and makes no portal. Even tried putting the reopen portal, no luck. Tried resetting and putting new cards in, still didn't work. I need this to progress, what do I do?

If you have extra cards, in the bottom left of the portal menu, try resetting it, and making it public, then replaying cards again

I did that unfortunately and it still didn’t fix the issue
I’ll try again though, just in case? Also tried leaving and coming back in

Yeah make sure both settings are set.
If that still doesn't work, then I could assist with opening after I finish helping a couple others

Thank you! I actually did a different thing, I can’t change those settings unfortunately either. This is a server I got invited to so maybe that’s it?

Could be, are you able to make personal portals at all?

I actually did go through someone else's personal portal, but that didnt complete the quest! Think it could be different if I made my own?

Hit J on your key board, you could use snip tool:
Windows + shift + S and paste the image here
I'm curious because going through someone else's portal shouldn't have stopped you from progressing the quest
But worst case I can grab materials and if you invite me, I can build a portal for you at your house

Name is the same in game, for you to invite to party and invite to realm.

By the way haha, the portal closed and I can’t actually open it on my own. Did you do anything special to open it or was it just pressing e on the portal and clicking reopen?

I played some cards, but it should let you re open it, if you want, I can come back and I can try dropping you cards perhaps.
Those quests in there give you the ability to craft your own portal, so you're so close to being able to make it yourself (which is my normal suggestion, but can't do that here)

Thanks! I logged out and am logging in right now, its just that it closed after some time automatically and wouldnt reopen for me!

yeah you should be able to reopen it by interacting with it, if not then oofs, and I'd make a report on the site linked in #bugs about that.
Explain that you tried opening, no go.
You had someone build you a portal, still no go
give as much info as possible.
