How I can see the portal destination without activating it and stepping through? The loading times are long

So far as I know there’s no way to know outside just having to remember what portal gos where. I was hoping it would of kept the cards displayed for when you reopen. But sadly isn’t the case.

tried that and it locked the portal so that the only thing what i was able to do was to rename it, was not able to change cards or activate it.

Funny you mention that cause my friend was not able to start portals today, wonder if that was the problem.
