you can try to play the same biome + abayence card in the portal but ... likely its gone.
PSA: Your cairn is your home, it's needs to stay at home.
*If you want a new home, move the cairn first, have another player hold the realm you're moving from
ok, but for "new" players, what we see is : I need to rez close to where I died, and cairn allows to bind yourself wherever with a low cost. So I do that. And I'm screwed (no big warning in the game)
Even the fae portal we can build to rez where we want need a sync gem, which is pretty rare
Yeah I think it's gone, and will stay gone, as it should...because you moved your claim on the area, what the Carin is, by the game's definition is, "I Claim THIS land as mine." If you move it... you remove your claim
well I did not move it, my cairn still exists, but is not "activated". This is a bit confusing I find. As my cairn always exists I though I could get back there somehow
like by leaving the party / game I was on (in group, as invited)
If you travel back to respite and go through all your old portals ot might
You can travel back through all your old realms as long as you never changed our portal cards
You can just re open the portal again
And have homes in all of them as long as you have your own respite realm as well you can just keep traveling through your old portals
if both op's original respite and his friends respite were the same biome, it would overwrite when he moved the cairn i think
Ok I'm saved. Brother had a portal to my first genese world, which contains a portal to my home world. Damn... Reactivated my home right away
If you still have your cairn there open your map and travel back to respite
I'm not sure but I think you can Have multiple. One will act as your respite though if you hold E on it. For example I can still place them down in higher difficulty realms where you can't actually make it your respite. The respite carn will be your home but it the higher difficulty realms you can place them to keep monsters and stuff off of your estate. You also don't even need to place them to build either.
Glad that worked for ya! Portals never reset unless you overwrite them somehow, it's one of the things I really like.
