It was the purple eye that started the image for me, I had a workday in a phone sales office and I basically hated my job so I painted a little every day while talking to costumers. This day I made a few of these eyes from pen (almost never used pencils cus my mom tought me if you make a mistake then it is there it is permanent , theres beauty in flaws and all that xD hehe getting of topic nvm). I made these with ball point pen and felt tip pens. took a picture of the eye then made the image above in gimp from it years later. There some backstory even to its probs not necesary^^

but this race are based on silicon

I can't exactly explain it but it's mostly just understanding lighting and just how bright you want it to glow (used an airbrush outside of the lines to give an extra glowy effect which isn't always necessary)
