Tropical Peeper
An unusual variant of the Peeper, seemingly endemic to the Domelands.

1. Vibrant Coloration:
   Although unusually bright colors often indicate poison, scans have identified no such properties. It is possible that its exuberant coloration and fins are mimicking other poisonous organisms, used in mating displays, or that the Tropical Peeper simply has no use for hiding or camouflaging.
2. Expulsion Tubes:
   Noticeably less developed than those of the Peeper, may be vestigial. Tissue at the base of each tube has developed into exuberant fins.
   Considering its vestigial tubes are more alike those of the common Peeper rather than other known variants, it probably split off evolutionarily much more recently. Timewise, however, the level of genetic difference between the common and tropical Peepers is troublesome. This apparent rapid-evolution phenomenon needs further analysis.
   Assessment: Edible, suggests further environmental research.

Subnautica: Stranded
An imagined alternate setting in the Subnautica universe, with some alterations in the overall lore. This imagined game would take place evenly both on the sea and on land, in an unusual, seemingly terraformed portion of land in 4546b dubbed the “Domelands”. As the name implies, a massive dome of unknown make encased this landmass and the surrounding waters entirely, but it is now exposed. Surrounding the perimeter are strange ruins of possible extraterrestrial origin. Could this be another part of the Precursor’s failed plan? this is the volume with a sideways gradient to make it darker/thicker on the lower left

and noise for variation

then a couple fill lamps

then a particle box with these nodes on the particle object

plus glare in the compositor and denoise

using Super Image Denoiser with a volume pass also helps quite a bit for getting that detail

I think it looks amazing, and the no colour really gives a sort of vibe to it. Very.. idk the word for it- what message is the art work trying to send? With the eye, a little colour in it could possibly make it look better. If the message is a sort of ‘trapped’ feeling, and the person is breaking through, having the eye colour could heavily contrast against the blank grey sort of tone, and it could change the art work. It really depends on the message. Still, I think it’s a really cool bit of art, and you did well

Oh no no, I wasn't disputing if it was yours or not. There are many different kinds of art out there but we have typically kept a "narrower" focus on what's allowed in this channel. Mostly because allowing certain types open the doors to a very slippery slope.

Allow photography? Where do we draw the line? Professional cameras make sense but iPhones can take some decent ones too. What kind of pictures are allowed?

We made an exception for some Lego sets because they were specifically related to Subnautica, but in general we direct people to post them in #memes-and-media.

I'm sure you see where I'm going with this. I've asked the rest of the mod team for opinions on model kits. I know there are some incredible ones out there (your gundams are awesome!).
