I used markers, but you could paint it, it'd probably look better. I honestly didnt do a very good job attaching it to the top, because you can see alot of those gaps. My advice, if you do, and your water bottle is clear, leave a small line open to see how much water is in there when you're filling it up.

This is my drawing of the Reaper Leviathan from Subnautica. This drawing took 4 hours to draw. This is the most detailed drawing I have ever done in my life, and I am glad I spent that on this.
