Leviathan disguised as a aquakin which is a like a pumpkin but underwater and can only be found in natural patches, a way to see if a aquakin is a Levi or not is to see if it has a slight glow or tiny scratches on them. When they detect you they open their mouth and eyes and bite you taking 25% of your health and 5% with its sprout

I actually plan on remaking Subnautica in Unity but it’s Minecraft style. I've seen the mods there are already, but most of them are abandoned and of course have to work in Minecraft. So I think I'm gonna make it with Unity, but if I can't figure out how to code it then I might just make an animation. Either way I'll need the same models, so I figured I'd post what I have so far

It’s gonna start out being as close as I can get it to subnautica, so all the same content. Once that’s done I might make a horror game version similar to Darkwood if anyone's heard of it. It'll be like subnautica but way more dark and twisted.

It would save you a LOT of coding and stuff, plus you would only need to reskin things and maybe the map? Depends on how much detai, you want

I doubt I could swap out every model for custom ones with custom animations and swap out all the sprites for pixel art. Is the game that customizable? And terrain would be a problem, plus the collision for everything, the list goes on

I'd pretty much need the unity project for subnautica at that point, just scripting and putting models in folders wouldn't be able to do this kind of overhaul

Also I need to learn how to code it anyway cuz once I've made the base game I'd like to make my own versions set in other alien worlds. I am interested in how much can be done with mods tho

Okay I just looked around the subnautica modding server and it really doesn't look like this game has that level of mod support. I mean you can mod a lot from what I've observed, but I don't think I could use it for what I'm trying to to

You’d probably be able to get away with model and texture swaps, but anything related to altering terrain isn’t really feasible at this point for modding
