One issue is with that smaller celestial body, it's obviously to small and close to the ground since it's in the way of whatever is casting all the light else the volumetrics under it would not be darker

What do you guys think about this? That's my character piloting a seamoth, made in SketchUp. - There's some problems that need fixing, and I'm working on those right now, like hands and arms not aligned with the control yoke, and a few minor hull details, but overall I like how this turned out.

A quick revision of my SketchUp SeaMoth. Parts placement is a bit more inline with canon, hull markings are further refined, and I think I'm on the right track now. I just lack any in sim views of the Moth for detailed comparisons. Overall I'm pleased!

One thing I'd love to mod into Subnautica would be SSN-718 USS Honolulu to serve as a companion to the canonical Cyclops. Seen here on 718's back or dorsal hull are the SeaMoth just ahead of the sail, and behind the sail on the midship hatch is DSRV-3 Angelic, a companion craft to the SeaMoth and possible replacement for the Prawn Suit. Angelic could go as deep or deeper than the prawn, yet be as speedy as the moth... and a good all around vehicle because of that. The little rat in the conning tower is my original character and alter ego, Yuki. All objects seen here were crafted in SketchUp, and this simple flat color render was made in Kerkythea.

It’s a very cool concept but a very standard submarine design (this isn’t a criticism of the work)

@chrome cargo Agreed, it's about as plain a sub as it can get. No fancy vista windows to look out through, no docking bay to launch anything larger than a SEAL submersible or rigid inflatable boat, and no fancy shield system to keep the Ghosts from gnawing holes in the hull... but what she does have which not even the seamoth has, are real Torpex filled Mk-48 torpedoes that go BOOM rather than fart. xDD And thank you!

8/10 the arms are a bit strange proportion wise, and also looks like a glowstick but bent for the top two. The neck and head are a bit strange too, as there's not real distinction between where the neck and head connect, they just kind of morph together.

Made with SketchUp 3D - I'm planning ahead so much to get the propulsion cannon as soon as possible by inspecting some wrecks in areas I think the broken parts can be found, that I couldn't help but make a replica in sketchup for my own amusement.
