It’s been while, but iirc, stem cells start out fully multipotent. But they undergo further differentiation as time goes on, still being somewhat pluripotent but they have less possible ways they can diverge into different tissues they develop into, and ultimately after further differentiation they become “fixed” into the types of tissues and cell types they can make. That’s the best I can remember atm, just woke up lol

BZ is a fantastic game, it’s different but still amazing in its own right

That and the Arctic biome looking like something out of Subnautica's Early Development Build, which Below Zero was never in, are two reasons why this game is dissapointed

It’s not perfect, the story doesn’t exactly make sense, if there’s ever something to take issue with it’s the story lol

like the new base pieces, the ||purple vents biome||, the ||lily pad islands biome||, the ||glow whale||, the three different Twisty Bridges biomes, the Brute Shark, and the Alterra Bases. Sure, that's quite a lot of redeeming qualities. But the game still feels incomplete. I feel like if the devs didn't rush it to completion after drastically changing the story line a little bit past half way, it would've been a great sequel.

I must say, I love how the game is literally cut content in itself, and then brought back a ton of cut content. Half the biomes are cut content from gen 1, a good chunk of the flora e fauna are cut content from gen 1, and the whole "arctic concept" was cut content from gen 1.
