There was an ending to the old story yes. The main event remained the same (||Robin was following Al-An||), but there are things that are a little bit different.
This is a remnant of the old story. There was a station called the Vesper where Sam was. They kept it in the new story introduction.

i would say creative gamemode first
or
just indeed plan it with the area (so if nothing gets in the way) but i highly recommend creative(gamemode) for that
