Speaking of Is it normal for a shadow lev to completely ignore gas torpedo? I feel like hitting them with a torp should break their attack at least temporarily but they seem to ignore the damage and grapple you regardless of how many times you shoot them this seems to fundamentally break the intended functionality of the torpedo arm as a deterrent given your not really supposed to need to kill things in this game just dealing damage is supposed to drive off most creatures

Vortex torpedos do seem to immobilize them but they also have a nasty ability to rip the sea truck cab off of the other modules which I can only pray is a unintended bug because that kind of physics damage is more dangerous than anything else in the game

It does notice you while walking/running. However, they'll attack you less if you're walking tho. I recommend walking against the ice walls and make sure to take at least 5 health kits.

I looked around for any fixes, but found nothing except starting over or using console commands. However... I also saw some people saying that using commands disables achievements. Is this true? I'm 64 hours in, and I'd like to avoid starting over if possible, but I really want the achievements, too.

||also, is there a way to get magnetite / diamond / ruby? i found magnetite and diamonds in those rocks with materials and i found only a few ruby somewhere, its really frustrating to find stuff like these in this game and i also put the spoiler thing on this bc im not sure if i should or not||

(not a spoiler.) All these are in certain deep areas. Magnetite is common on (west) land in pengling caves. There is another way: pin some diamond/mag/ruby items, and go find sea monkeys. They can read pins
