That being said I hated getting it from stalkers more cause it was so random. Sometimes I'd see a group of stalker grab the metal like 10 times and not a single one. Other times I'd get 3 in the space of a few minutes. I prefer the more predictable and reliable mined ingredients.

Ok well if you are early in the game I would suggest storage, fabricator, and the aquarium module all of which are in different locations, the fabricator module I know can be found in the deep twisty bridges. Some storage modules might be down there as well. There are more fabricator modules in the purple vents biome in a large clearing but if you go too far off course you may run into a leviathan
