Disjointed plot, bad voice acting, bad gameplay balance (everything's WAY faster than the Seaglide, so it's impossible to outswim anything in this game, and Prawns are useless against leviathans, and so is the Seatruck, which is also a terrible vehicle, by the way, until you get the Seatruck Perimeter Defense Module, and then leviathans might as well not exist, the Snowfox is HORRIBLE and pointless, never use it, the Prawn is much better a land vehicle and you'll need it to drill deposits on land ANYWAYS), irrelevant PDAs for the most part, leviathans that are not very scary, yet in all cases overpowered and in some cases actually buggy and broken, (and since no Stasis Rifle or Repulsion Cannon, the player's two biggest counters to leviathans while not using a vehicle have been removed), and overall a terrible tone and lots of plot holes (Robin knew what she was getting into, and didn't bring a SINGLE weapon? Really? Riley had an excuse, his weaponless ship crashlanded on the planet, but Robin has no such excuse)
