The whole building system is a mess, robin keeps building things 3 cm from her eyes because I accidentally swam too close to a wall
if you could at least build a wireframe, move it around until it fits, and then build, OK, but right now I wanted to build two moonpools and I had to break and build them over and over until they fit
I spent like 3 whole batteries in the builder before it worked alright

It took me hours to align my storage system so that all lockers fit perfectly next to each other

the worst part is; to get my pools facing the correct way, I had to build them first but they would NOT go where I wanted, however if I just started one piece over I had an easy time aligning everything, but I would dock and undock facing walls
and of course it's all so craggy you can't actually SEE where you're building, so good luck placing mps and large rooms precisely

It it would be OK once you finished building, that would be fine. But I have a moon pool with tubes flowting with no poles at all. But whenever I park the seatruck with modules underneath, then next time a load the game, the tubes have legs connecting to the seatruck modules, pushing them down and out of the way. I have to deconstruct and reconstruct the modules very single time I load the game. That is annoying too.
Also all the stairs on land based bases, that suddenly don't reach the ground anymore. And of course the two framed art, that appear black every time I load the game.
But still, I have lots of fun with it, but sometimes....
Also I build a multipurpose room next to a large room and it connected the rooms together regardless that there were lockers and speachers on the wall. It made a connection and all items where just floating in mid air. So I build a enforcement there and then it did not connect the rooms. Great, take away the enforcement, put lockers and speakers back and next time I loaded, the connection was made again. Annoying 😦

You can, but only if you build the moonpool first (using the antennae to guide you) or by building a piece while looking either away or to the right of where you want your dock to be aimed. Basically, the moonpool can be rotated so it's ORIENTATION is N/S or E/W relative to your base, but you can't choose the DIRECTION. If you're looking north while putting the first piece down, moonpools will undock either west, or south.
